The challenge

The online lessons needed to prepare learners for practical equipment work while addressing different job responsibilities. Each audience needed a different level of technical detail, requiring a course structure that kept instruction relevant to the work learners would perform.

SANTECH's solution

SANTECH created four learning paths, each matched to the technical depth its learners needed:

  • Operators
  • Managers, planners, and controls engineers
  • Mechanical maintenance technicians
  • Electrical maintenance technicians

Suitable classroom topics became self-paced lessons, with video and animation explaining equipment operation and procedures. Online instruction provided a foundation for the practical portion of the program. Hands-on guides, exercises, and performance checklists supported reinforcement, while train-the-trainer preparation supported BEUMER instructors delivering that portion. Courses were packaged as SCORM 1.2 files for a customer LMS or the BEUMER portal. SANTECH-led on-site instruction was a separate delivery option.

SANTECH's scope

  • Four learning paths organized by job role
  • Reusable lessons and equipment-specific content
  • Video, animation, and knowledge checks
  • SCORM 1.2 course packages and assessments
  • Hands-on reinforcement guides, exercises, and performance checklists
  • Train-the-trainer preparation for BEUMER instructors
